Every stride is three times your weight
This is the real measure of impact when you run: with every foot strike, your knees, hips, and ankles absorb approximately three times your body weight. Multiply that by five thousand steps.
For many people, this is fine. For others — with fragile knees, starting overweight, joints that have seen better days, or returning after a long break — this is precisely what makes them quit after three weeks, with pain that takes months to forget.
On an elliptical, your foot never leaves the pedal. There is no impact at any time. The movement is continuous, fluid, and the joint receives nothing but muscular work.
The only machine that works your whole body
This is what distinguishes the elliptical from the bike and treadmill. The moving handles engage the upper body while the legs push: arms, shoulders, back, core, and legs work simultaneously.
Practical consequence: for the same duration, you expend more energy than sitting on a bike, and you distribute the effort instead of concentrating it on your thighs. This is also why thirty minutes pass more quickly — there's more to do.
-
Cardiovascular system — the primary beneficiary, and the first to improve
-
Quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes — the push and return
-
Arms, shoulders, upper back — via the moving handles
-
Core — continuously stabilizing the torso
Four typical sessions
-
Endurance — 35 minutes, steady pace, moderate resistance. You should be able to hold a short conversation. If you can't, it's too hard.
-
Pyramid — 1-2-3-2-1 minutes of increasing then decreasing effort, 60 seconds of recovery between each. Eighteen minutes in total, and the time flies by.
-
Reverse pedaling — 4 × 3 minutes pedaling backward, 90 seconds of recovery. This completely changes muscle recruitment: hamstrings and glutes take over from the quadriceps.
-
Active recovery — 20 minutes at minimal resistance, the day after a strength training session. This boosts circulation and significantly reduces muscle soreness.
Three to four sessions per week. You can do two consecutive days without risk, which is not the case for running.
It might be the right choice for you if…
We prefer to help you decide rather than sell at all costs.
Your knees limit you. It's the gentlest machine in the catalog, and often the only one that allows you to resume without reawakening old pain.
You're starting from scratch. Zero impact means zero joint stress while the body adapts — and this is precisely the phase where injuries are most common.
You want cardio without getting bored. The fact that it works both upper and lower body makes the session mentally more bearable than a bike, where only the legs move.
You live in an apartment. Magnetic resistance, meaning no mechanical friction. It is by far the quietest of the three cardio machines in the catalog.
And if it's not for you
If your goal is running performance, the elliptical won't replace the treadmill: the movement is different, and specificity matters. If you're looking for pure leg power, simulated uphill AeroPulse will give you more.
The elliptical offers volume without the wear and tear. That's its domain, and it's hard to beat there.
Before ordering
Heavy machine, delivered in 10 to 30 business days from our warehouses. This isn't a package that arrives the day after tomorrow — if you want to start this week, this isn't the right product.
Plan for space. An elliptical remains set up. Measure the room before ordering, including clearance for your arms.
Assembly takes about 45 minutes and requires two people, especially for lifting the frame.
Your questions about AeroCardi
Elliptical trainer or exercise bike?
The elliptical works the whole body and is used standing; the bike isolates the legs and is used sitting. If you have back pain from prolonged sitting, choose the elliptical. If you want to read or work while pedaling, choose the bike.
Is it really quiet?
Magnetic resistance generates no friction, so yes, the mechanism is very quiet. What you will hear is the floor: place a thick mat if you have a neighbor downstairs. With that, you can train at 6 AM.
How many calories does it burn?
This depends so much on your weight, intensity, and metabolism that any stated number would be an invention. The display will give you an estimate — treat it as a progress benchmark, not as absolute truth.
What is the maximum user weight?
The structure is designed for standard adult home use. If you are close to the upper limits, please email us before ordering: we will give you an honest answer rather than dealing with a return.
Can I use it every day?
Yes, provided you vary the intensity. Alternate a sustained session with an active recovery session. It is one of the few machines that allows daily use without accumulating joint fatigue.
Do I need special shoes?
Sports shoes are sufficient. Avoid bare feet and socks: the foot must be held laterally on the pedal.
How long before I feel a difference?
Your breathing will change from the third or fourth week — you'll go up stairs without thinking about it, and that's often what makes you want to continue. Visible changes usually appear around the sixth to eighth week.
What if I make a mistake?
Thirty days to return it to us, beyond the legal fourteen days, in its original condition. For a bulky product, email us first: Kristy will explain the procedure within twenty-four hours.
